In the wake of this summer’s East Baton Rouge flood—when 6.9 trillion gallons of rainwater dumped on the area—thousands of residents lost their homes or experienced devastating damages.
Since then, the recovery effort has cost billions of dollars and the community has been hard at work rebuilding homes with the help of local contractors, builders and volunteers.
To help rebuild the houses of those affected by the disaster, James Hardie’s Midsouth team joined in the massive effort. The team partnered with members of the United Saints Recovery Project, a volunteer, nonprofit organization that assists communities that have suffered damage from natural disasters. Together, they helped gut and rebuild homes affected by the monumental flood.
