Environmental Highlight

Recycled Content

Up to 50% recycled content in our Fiber Gypsum products including 100% recycled post consumer fiber.

Sustainable Sourcing

100% of all fibers are either post consumer recycled or from Forest Stewardship Council certified sources.

Zero Waste

We strive to reduce waste from all our facilities with our European facilities recycling all product waste back into the process.

emphasizing environmental

Our "Global Environmental Protection Policy," which is communicated to employees, subcontractors and customers, outlines four guiding principles: use of renewable and recyclable resources, conservation of water resources and energy, commitment to waste reduction, and protection of the environment.

Sustainability Stories

Alternative technology initiative

During the year, we researched alternative technologies to reduce our water consumption, optimize water use and improve wastewater treatment. A small scale trial was conducted, at one of our larger plants in North America, to reduce both water consumption and discharge rates. Implementing a staged approach, we were able to save approximately 40,000 cubic feet of water over five months. We are taking our learnings and moving towards full-scale installation at the plant to validate our findings. We expect to recycle up to 2 million cubic feet of water per year from this project. Once we reach full-scale validation, we will develop and implement similar systems across our plants.
