Life is colorful for Eddie and Debbie. Eclectic art adorns their walls and flowers blossom out back. Yet, their aesthetic has evolved. "We used to be super contemporary. We still go for a modern look, but now we enjoy comfortable furniture," Debbie says with a laugh. That attitude shines through the outdoor living room that includes a Craftsman-style porch and a breezeway featuring a beautiful fireside dining space. All against a backdrop that shows no signs of fading.

Debbie sings the praises of Charlie, their homebuilder. "We've built houses before. But he was great. We had a ball," she says. "Every day I took pictures of the home being built. When it was done, I made a coffee table book for him. He was so happy, he kept it in his office to show all of his potential homeowners."
