Before HardiePlank® fiber cement lap siding was protecting their home outside of Richmond, Virginia, homeowners Tripp and Debbie M. were already fans of the product’s quality.
“My dad has it on some of his house and we know that it will last forever,” Tripp said. “I’ve seen it on other houses and know that the value is there. The quality that’s associated with the value of the house on top of that is very comforting.”

“The contractor was absolutely wonderful to work with,” Tripp said. “They did a great job, they were very speedy with only a couple weather delays, which obviously can’t be helped. They were awesome at what they did.”
The new siding came at a perfect time as their old wood siding was showing signs that it needed to be replaced. Specifically, the finish was peeling, blistering and discolored, there was damage underneath windows, and there were issues with some of the seams between planks.
Tripp and Debbie’s home is now clad in HardiePlank lap siding, which resists weather damage and keeps its shape for a much longer time compared to wood siding. That means less maintenance for them to worry about year after year.
The couple chose the color Night Gray for their siding, and HardieTrim® boards in Arctic White.
